Inferences in Reading

We have been working hard on inferences.  Write about some of the inferences you are making at home while you read your 20 minutes each night.  I am reading Rick Riordan's The Serpent's Shadow.  

In the book Carter says, "I needed sleep.  Instead, I paced the room."  I know that when I cannot sleep I am usually worried or nervous about something that is going to happen, or I have a lot on my mind.  I think that Carter is worried about all of his friends getting hurt and Apophis taking over the world.
